Hospital Pics  - Round II Pictures

Con and Maddie, the day before.  Getting some essential "cuddle time".

Here's a pic of some of the cool stuff in our room.  You'll see a cross that our sweet nurse Wendy gave us.  Maddie made us a
"No Cancer" fish?!!! Don't ask....and finally, you'll see a beautiful, indiginous hand-made pink angel.  It watches over our room and is dear to our heart.  Made by Sue Brawner if anyone wants one!!!

Here's our Maddie girl's Art Gallery.  Every time she comes down...she does some cool picture for Mom.  We have them all over the room.

Here is our beautiful daughters pic...Kellie!

Next to her is a hand made tile that Carla got for us!  The "24/7" part is from Bob...he always reminds us that if we need something...He's available  24/7.

Here is our "Motivation Board".  I put this up and cross off each day we are in the hospital.  I also put up little cartoons about activities Connie will do...here you'll see her Mountain Biking!  ha...

More Maddie artwork!!!

Tori is her cat...and Tahoe of course, is our dog!  We miss them both.

Here's the sign nurse Kim gave us when Connie's counts rose to 0.4.  A good day!

The Harley Card (upper right) has a Dog and a Cat riding on it.  Maddie loved it so I put it up!!!

ha...

The BMT Unit.  This was the first set of double doors we walked thru.  E-5 was thru another set of glass doors end of the hall to the right.

Transplant Day - Con dressed in the appropriate red to receive her cells.

Krista and Maddie on Dad's "torture chamber" , I mean rollaway bed!

Maddie's been doing "artwork" for Mommy while in the hospital.  Brings a smile to the room!

Best Buds, Bob and Carla are commited to see us thru this!  What a great looking couple!
An INCREDIBLE gift!  Life in an Igloo.  5/5/06.  Transplant Day!  Amazing!
This is our new friend Bill who delivered the cells to our room.  Debbie Smith watches expectantly.  Bill is the Director of the transplant operation.
Our awesome nurse Patty took care of Connie during transplant.
Every once in a while...I get into the picture.

Connie touches her precious gift of "LIFE".

It was a huge bag of

marrow.

Sweet nurse Patty hooks up the bag.
Bag is hung at 4:20 p.m.
Hard to believe that this bag holds so much HOPE but, it does.  God Bless our sweet donor!
If you look closely, I caught the marrow flowing down the tube.  Look right in the middle of the pump area!  How cool is that?
Dr. Babb, our Pastor buddy was on hand to bless the event and invite God to do a miracle here!
Randy and Debbie lifted their voices to our Lord as well!  Randy read scripture and we all held each other.

Bob, once again, hit his knees for our gal.  His prayer is, "Jesus...Heal this woman!"

Craig, Jason, Bob, Randy and Mindi all joined us in prayer.
Jesus washed the disciples feet...in our case...friends give Connie a much appreciated lotion massage.  It comforts her soul.
Not to be outdone...Joe gives Connie a hand rub too!  He loves our gal!
Randy and Deb have been our constant support group.  They come down or call every day.  Who's that lurking in the back?
Deb and Mindi waiting for our precious gift to arrive.
"Uh Oh!"....what's he doing?

YEP...He did it!  Our buddy Tina did the deed.  Connie watched and laughed and tried to talk me out of it.

She too...this day...got her head shaved.  I just couldn't put it on the site.  She wouldn't let me...ha.

Can you say "Hey Moe!"

This was the day before we cut it all off.  She held on to her hair for an amazingly long time.  After some 40 bags of chemo...it was still there!

We want to see another one of these signs soon!
