A personal note from Connie...

Dear Sweet Friends,                                   2/2006

This sure stinks....doesn't it?

Just when we thought we were in the clear.  We even began planning again (and you know how I like to plan!).  We were even thinking of buying this really cool gourmet foods company from the Bay Area.  I guess God had other plans.

In mid Feb, I had my normal bone marrow test which is done annually now.  It showed some troubling signs in my marrow.  After numerous tests and procedures, they are pretty sure I'm heading to a second transplant.  They caught it very early however, and we hope that is a good sign.

The good news is that they have located 2 other donors that are perfect 10 for 10 matches if needed.  Pray that they can be ready in time.  The bad news is that it will require another round in the hospital.  Last time, we were in for 38 days.  We are praying this won't be necessary.

Ken and I long for the day when all sickness and sadness will be done away with.  Our prayer is "Come Lord".  He is drawing closer to us each day.

As we begin to deal with the news that we have a Round 2 in our future, we have to be mindful of the absolutely wonderful 2 YEARS that we just had.  With our girls, with our friends, with our family and with all of you.  It was a blessed time.  We are thankful that God moved his hand for us and we are awaiting His compassion again.

Thank You...Thank You...Thank You...for enlisting in this battle with us again and for supporting my family as we go thru this.  It is your prayers, emails and messages that sustain us.  Keep them coming!

Our job is to fight...and we will.

We know that God has a plan.  We know He loves us.  We know that He will never leave us.  We know that He will carry us.  We know that the victory is in His hands.

Believe with us and let's watch as He figures this one out again!

Thanks from the bottom of my heart!

Connie
